Very expected game in San Francisco where 7th rankedMarineros (5-6) were defeated by second ranked Indios (10-2) 95-87 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Indios made 7 blocks. Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American guard BJ Fitzgerald (198-2000, college: Virginia St.) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Indios players scored in double figures. Forward Andersson Mejia (201-2000, college: Texas A&M) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Andres Fulgencio (193, college: Adelphi) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios have a solid three-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Metros lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Marineros dropped to the fourth place with six games lost.
